Intro to IB

The study of International Business helps us to recognize the growth of global linkages today and the benefits or pitfalls of the same.Simply put International business consists of transactions that are devised and carried out across national borders to satisfy the objectives of individuals, companies, and organizations.
For most of us International business begins and ends with export and import. However there is more to IB than this...(picture abhi baki hai bhai!!)
So let's now take a look at the types of International Business:
1. Export-import trade
2. Foreign direct investment
3. Licensing
4. Franchising
5. Management contracts

With the world shrinking, thanks to forces of globalization, the sectors of IB can stretch across transport, tourism, banking and financial services, advertising, retail, wholesale, construction, manufacturing, mass media and communication, trade, international human resource management and so on.

(I shall stop here today and look forward to the group coming up with actual examples of types of IB).
